The turn signal lever is a single piece than snapps in to the wiper switch assembly. That assembly is connected to the actual turn signal switch inside the column by a linkage.
Do you have an actual turn signal problem or is the turn signal lever not being held in the column?

Your link was for a dynamic page, so we can't see the picture. If you "view image" of the drawing in your browser, you should get a link we can see.
I think I found a drawing that has the high beam switch as a #17. The turn signal lever actuates a linkage that travels down the column to the base, where a rod pokes at the switch. If you can see the linkage move and that switch doesn't work, that's all you need to replace. You should be able to get it from any parts store. It's a very common part and not particular to our cars.

I assume you're looking for item #6 (circled). You don't say what year you have so here are the part numbers for all 4th generation domestic f-bodies:
LEVER, T/SIG & HDLP D/SW & WSW & WSWA
93 no cruise: 10098784
94-99 no cruise: 22510733
93 with cruise: 25140540
94-02 with cruise: 25140743
(That description is "Lever, turn signal and headlamp dimmer switch and windshield wiper and windshield washer")

What you're describing is the ignition switch - turning the key in the ignition cylinder moves a rod that controls the actual switch which is lower on the steering column. The turn signal lever is directly connected to the turn signal switch cam in the steering column just below the steering wheel and clock spring.

No, what he was describing is the high beam switch. The high beam switch also has a rod traveling down the steering column. #83 and 77 here.
