Sound Deadening Question
I'm new on the sound deadening mats. I've read a long time ago that one or two mats will deaden sound. All the threads I've seen here have the WHOLE CAR seemingly covered in Dynamat. I'm just trying to make my trunk have less road/exhaust noise. Any advice?

there are several different types of deadener, some are for panel vibration, some are for actual sound blocking, like mass loaded vinyl and jute (the padding under the carpet), guys do the whole car because that is best, there are problem areas you could focus on if budget is an issue but best to do it all.

I'm thinking about one square between the rear tie downs on top of the wheel well hump, and two squares behind the passenger seat backs. Will this work?

I only did my doors and the sail panel area round the speakers.
The Florida heat did not cause the stuff to sag or fall off. I installed it in August. It was soo hot outside I had to use one of my commercial blower fans to keep myself from melting.
You could always seal the edges with HVAC tape but i didn't.
The Peel & Seal seems to have the best results on the forums I researched on (besides Dynamat and other car specific insulation).
I have Hertz HSK 165's powered by JL HD 600/4 and have zero rattles.
