Now for the sub box, I was going with either Kee Audio or SubThump but I see the box on ebay 40 bucks cheaper. Should I risk getting, looks like it's direct fit, seems legit. Input?

Check out Double D Mods, they have them right now for $69.99, with black carpet only at this time.

So I sort of started the process to make the job easier, just took off the stock CD changer but see there's a screw bolt from the bracket that was holding the changer. Will this effect the stealth box installation? Any tips of removing (don't have a power saw) or would it be fine to leave?

You will need to remove it to make a stealth box fit. Try an angle grinder.

Dammit. You think a muffler shop that grind it off? That might be too risky, always something lol.

Rent one from your local Menards, Home Depot, maybe even Auto Zone. Are you a member of Midwest Domestics (formerly Midwest F-Body Assoc) at mfba.org? There are probably a dozen guys within 1/2 hour of you who would cut it off for you if you drove over there, and I know a good many of them personally. I'm probably a little far away in Janesville, WI.

I just decided to take matters into my own hands. All I did was use pliers and a screw driver to pry the end of the bracket to bend it over, then just hand saw the piece off. And just hammer it back into place....

Clean.....

The lil bastard piece....

I should become a fabricator lol. I'm all set for the weekend, hopefully everything comes in by Saturday.

Default Please help!!!!

So I got my sub and amp and wanted to check the fitment and the sub doesn't fit all the way in the box. I had a feeling the sub might've been too big, it just sticks out from one side. The box is from Double D Mods. This happened to anyone? And modifications I need to do to fit? Or am I screwed?

^^^^^^^ and that is why your supposed to check the MOUNTING DEPTH of the box vs. the speakers mounting depth.

don't now if there is any room to modify the box to get it to fit, you could add a "mounting ring" (cut from 3/4" mdf) to lift the speaker up off the box depending how much the speaker is sticking out, but your issue is that box is gonna be WAY to small of airspace for that speaker.

Didn't think that was really an issue, figured all 10" subs were almost same size all around. But the box has a mounting depth of 8" and the sub mounting depth is 5-7/8", so there shouldn't be a problem. I was thinking about the mounting ring, would I need that customized cut?

OK, just checked some things, your good on cubic footage, box is .75 speaker requires .58 min for sealed, surprised me. what is probably happening is it's catching on that step because of how wide the bottom of the sub is, the rings are the easiest fix and yes those would work, just remember to use screws long enough to go thru the the rings and the mounting face of the box.

Wow, looks like that sub will really pound! Everything looks very nice. Double D Mods is only about 1.5 hours from me so I might just go visit when I'm ready for a sub box! Glad you found a quick solution to get it to work.

The ring has an internal diameter of 9", will the sub fit through it and through the box hole?

That's what I'm saying lol, the craftsmanship of this amp is amazing. Can't wait to install. Now I hope the mounting ring comes by Saturday.

Where are you going to mount your amp? I've decided to make my own amp rack to go on the back of the hatch. I'll try to take pics & post as I go along, although I know it's been done before & already posted on here. I got the instructions from one of the threads on here.

I originally wanted to put it on the center of the hatch bed but the ground wire is way too short to reach the grounding point so think ima mount it somewhere inside by the spare tire, haven't decided hundred percent, def looking for possible ideas from you guys.
