Hey guys, so I have a 99 Z28 and I'm looking to build a custom box for my 2 12' Kicker L7's so they fit in my trunk. I am looking to have the box fit in the little trunk room I have, not in the T-Top holder though. I want the subs to face the back seat and for the box to kind of be slanted so the hatch will be able to close. I also have an amp that I would like to mount somewhere on the box. I have searched on here and all over the internet for hours and could not find anything like this. So hopefully one of you can give me some pictures & dimensions or at least some pointers! Thanks!

 

honestly, trying to get enough air space for 2 12's on the rear "shelf" (hump over rear axle/gas tank) is gonna be tough, but should be doable with a sealed box but the subs will have to point toward the rear hatch glass (with the taller side of the box being at the back of the rear seat and sloping down as you go toward the back of the car). anything you put there will look out of place, it will look like a prefabbed "truck box" laid on it's back. for subs of that magnitude you really only have 2 choices IMO, either sacrifice the t-top holder area (which I personally refused to do) or do the crazy thing I did and sacrifice the rear seat completely and use that space for a nice box, here is a video of how my box currently sits, I've revised the design of the port at one time and have plans to build a new one with more airspace based on what I learned in the process of building and fitting this one to the car.
