Default So where did ya'll mount the fuse for your amp?

I'm wiring up an Alpine to drive a stealth box. And I got to thinking... Where did ya'll mount your in-line fuse for an aftermarket amp? I'd like to put it under the hood, but I don't want wires and crap all over. Trying to avoid a ghetto job... post up your pics!!

Thanks

It's supposed to be within 18 inches of the battery, so it needs to be under the hood.

Depends on how big it is. I had 4 gauge wire when I was running 1 amp, but I just installed another amp so I have 1/0 gauge. So the fuse holder is much bigger. I don't have a pic of the new install, but here's the previous install. The new one is in the same spot, it's just much bigger.

I don't have a pic but basically the same place as DamonZ28 except it's a much larger full size ANL fuse holder currently using 4-gauge but by removing adapters opens up to hold 1/0.

Thanks guys. That's where I was thinking. Did you just drill holes to mount?

Here, I grabbed a picture today while I was assessing what the extent of the damage the deer did last night.

Heres one I just put in my Blazer
uses the maxi fuse
not finished with wiring or looms yet so it can tuck under the fuse box when done.
