? what exactly are you talking about? They look pretty good to me but i'm unsure exactly what part you're pointing out
here's my hand built double din. Had i known these were out i would have bought one of these instead of spending the time to build one, that's for sure. A lot of bondo sanding lol

I picked up one of these aftermarket bezels just to see the quality. They are pretty nice but as O/P said they are smooth and flat black. I busted out the sandpaper and bezel mod paint and went to town on it
I actually used a satin Krylon Fusion paint then did a matte/flat clear over it. To get the texture i have this texturizer paint that i warmed up in hot water then shot it. It lays down in smaller grains this way and makes it not feel like sand paper. On top of that i used a red scuff pad to lightly scuff off the high/rough parts. Then i shot it in satin black then matte clear. It looks really glossy now because it's fresh. Once it dries it becomes more dull, like the stock dash Some of the paint may look thin or like the clear isn't even, i assure you it is with that Krylon fusion in satin black it looks very close to Ebony
