help with stock stereo - is it a non-Monsoon? 1LE car, only 4 speakers
hi - my car is a 1LE and it doesn't have the stock stereo anymore.
1LE package has fewer options than normal cars. see crank windows, etc.
So is my car equipped with Monsoon? Does it have an factory amplifier?
I see most TA's with speakers in the trunk area from factory in the plastic side thingies but mine are blank, so I think i only have 4 speakers (2 in doors, and 2 in rear seat area).
With the newer Pioneer head unit, it sounds good, but leaning towards a double D sub enclosure because i have an older nice JL 10" sub (10W1v2-4 ). I would just like to find a decent amp to only power that sub. Recommendations?
thanks

You are correct - no hatch speakers means not Monsoon. You have a base audio system which has no external amplifier and only four full range speakers. The rear (sail panel) speakers were higher impedance to reduce output level in order to keep the sound stage more up front.
