Speakers popping/humming with phone pluggged in through a tape adapter
First off car is a 1992 Lexus SC300, completely stock sound system.
This has been driving me nuts, I use my phone hooked up through a tape adapter to listen to Rhaspody. At the beginning part of the song you get an ungodly amount of interference, humming and popping. It used to not be TOO BAD with my old Iphone, but with my Galaxy S6 its become unbearable.
Any ideas on what is causing this? I'm thinking loose or chafed wire is letting the phone signal in through the speaker. And its only in the pass door speaker. If I get a call/text when listening to a CD or regular radio, its fine, no hum at all.
Also will putting an aux in on the factory radio fix this problem? I've been debating about doing it(there's a writeup on the Lexus forum), I've just been lazy.
