Where to get replacement capacitor for kicker amp
I picked up an old school kicker 750.1 amp that I'm wanting to power just the sub. I figure that will be enough to blow up the carbon fiber CDT 10' sub. 😁
Anyway, I took it apart to blow it out and inspect it, I think it was given to me 5 years ago. I found what I believe is a blown capacitor. I'd like to replace it and see if the amp works. I did a google search for it and didnt find what I was looking for. Honestly I don't know enough about this type of stuff to k ow exactly where to look.
if anyone can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it.

Also, it is very important to install the replacement with the correct polarity. Capacitors can be damaged or even explode if installed backward. The legs will usually be marked but if they aren't, the longer leg is positive.
This is excellent advice! Although I would think that they would all be discharged after five years of sitting.

I'll report back if I fix it or blow it up.

The square pad on the PCB where the Capacitor goes usually indicates positive.
Make sure you clean the PCB to remove any electrolytic that leaked out of blown capacitors. It is corrosive.
If I have some time later I'll try to figure out the mouser website and find out which cap to get.
i emailed digikey with pictures and waiting to hear back from them.
