Default Blinker and headlight wiring FUBAR

Going nuts here. 2002 WS6 right blinker quit working, bulb socket was corroded so I replaced it. When I turned on the key half the fuses blew and headlight motors started grinding when alarm was armed and when turned off, plus the right blinker did not work.

Checked wiring of new bulb socket and replaced the headlight control module. Now the motor grinds when blinker is used although it will does not flash? Wtf is going on?

The grinding noise from the headlight motors (and possibly even the headlights going up and down when the alarm is armed) is a sure sign of damaged gears and has nothing to do with the headlight control module. It is triggered by the parking lights flashing in confirmation of the alarm arming. That would be the probably connection to the socket replacement since the socket has both turn signal and parking light wiring in it.

Since the problem apparently started with the socket replacement, the obvious diagnostic test is to eliminate the new socket. Remove the new socket (disconnect any wiring done as part of that replacement) and see if the problem goes away. That would be a sure confirmation that the socket installation was the source of the problem so you can go back and try again making doubly sure that the wires aren't cross connected or reversed. It won't solve the headlight grinding - only fixing the gears will solve that - but it should eliminate the triggering of the headlight action.
