Default Power antenna to fixed antenna swap?

I was able to snag a fixed antenna mount and was wondering if I need an adapter or cable to install it in my TA?

That depends... is it an antenna and bracket from an f-body? If so then you will not need any other parts. F-bodies used an oddball antenna cable that has a male mini-motorola plug on both ends. That was true of both the power and manual antennas so swapping them between f-body models is very easy. Swapping from other vehicles - even other GM vehicles - can be problematic.

It was a 98-02 Fbody fixed antenna. Thanks. I wasn't sure if the cable was long enough.

Oh, not only are the cables the same length for power and fixed antennas, they're actually the same part number... 12186133. So you should have no problem.
