BCM question

Don't know much about this stuff. Will the BCM I pictured work in my 2000 z28 Camaro? This module and key came out of a 2001 Camaro, but, it's a v6. I've searched a lot of threads but can't seem to find the answer.

Yes, the part number of the BCM 09353691 is the only thing that matters. As long as the key is paired, it should work no problem, V6/V8 are all interchangeable as I just did this about a week ago (2002 V6 Firebird Parts Car) into a 2001 Camaro SS car.

I now have a working Key, BCM and Remote, which I also was able to Program a 2nd new remote.

FYI, I've seen a few people have issues with starting the car after a BCM replacement. I'm not sure why, but it seems that the Gauges Fuse (10A) blows when installing a BCM. Mine did this and wouldn't allow a start signal to the starter. Replaced Fuse and all was good, along with allowed me the ability to program a new remote.

Also, you may want to open up the BCM box and see what condition the 5 relay solider joints are in. Would be a good idea to drop some solider on them if possible.
