The bulbs are all white - a mix of #194 and #74. A few are soldered to the cluster circuit board. The illumination color is created by colored sleeves or covers that the white bulbs fit into or under.

Sorry, I don't know. I liked the red display so I never took it apart. I'm hoping someone else like @wssix99 or @VIP1 will see this and know more about it.

Yes. At one point, people were selling overlays like the dash overlays that would change the colors.

There are people and companies that sell these as custom jobs. WARNING: I do not endorse these companies nor do we have any experience with them. This is just something that came up in a google search consistent with what I saw back in the day. I would suggest you do additional diligence in to the quality of the products before buying:

^ There are other companies making custom HVAC overlays. I would expect they can handle special requests, as well.

I can say from personal experience that Black Cat Customs does excellent work and has great customer service. I replaced the cluster face of my Mustang with a kit from them and it is really nice. When I mentioned that they had used green tint in the overlay of the digital portion, they redid it with the OEM blue color and sent the replacement within days.

Some sections of the HVAC, Headlight Switch, and Gauge cluster do have the color imprinted/painted on the backside of the face/panel
