How much power would this make?

In response to your first question. That amp will not do 150 watts RMS. When Audiobahn rates their wattage it is in "perfect" conditions.

as long as the sub you purchase is rated for 200 watts RMS or more, it should be fine (assuming a quality brand of sub....no Pyramid or other crappy subs need apply here...). most speakers will be happier with a little more power than they are rated for than they will be with less power than they are rated for. the reason being, if you under-power the speaker, you will be more inclined to turn up the gain on your amp and crank the volume higher to get the same output as if you overpowered the speaker, which will cause distortion levels to rise. distortion is usually what kills a speaker, not the amount of power going to it.

Heat is the #1 killer in speakers and electronic in general. The voice coil is the first to go on a speaker. Heat can be caused by too much power, clipping/distortion, the sun, and several other things.
