Default Security with remote start

I have a 02 ws6 ta m6 and installing two 10's an amp and 2 sets of components with another amp. I want to get an alarm to protect my car and remote start. I am looking at some of the directed electronic systems but not sure which one to choose. I like the clifford matrix but open to suggestions.

Go with the Viper 791XVR. Its great! I have it with the Invisibeam Field Disturbance Sensor which generates two invisible fields around your f-body causing a warning chirp if someone goes into the first field or a full alarm if the second is field is broken. Also I have the Window Automation System
which rolls up my windows when arming and I can roll them down to vent from the remote. All in all Its a cool unit, I plan on adding the trunk release and the range extending antenna.

Where is the best place to try and find this to buy through a store or over the internet. I found it online for around 250$ does that seem right or is it probably not a new alarm.

Unless you are going to put it in yourself buy it from a reputable shop. Then you know the install will be correct and if you ever have warranty trouble they will take care of you. DEI is a bastard to deal with if you buy their stuff over the internet. If it is DEI dealer installed the alarm has a lifetime warranty to the original purchaser. You also need a vats bypass to autostart your ride if you choose to do it yourself.

Default Alarm

So if I'm going to install an alarm system myself where is the least expensive place to buy DEI items directly? Also, what would be a good source for wiring diagrams for a 99 TA? Thanks.

Thanks, anyone else??? I'm really looking to buy a good reliable system and install it myself, I have 10 yrs experience working on electronics systems on submarines so I hope I can figure out the Trans-Am, but wiring diagrams would help, and I haven't been able to find someone who'll sell the high end systems with minimal mark-ups for a self install. Also main features I'm looking for are the standard keyless entry/starter kill functions, and I'd also like to have the power windows interface with the alarm. Another question I had was concerning radar sensors, I'd like something that would allow me to leave the T-Tops off in my driveway, but would let me know if someone was reaching into the car, however I've heard of others having problems with these sensors. Are these just a factor of not properly adjusting the field or is this a real problem?? THANKS for reading my ramblings and any help/feedback you can provide will be much appreciated!

I don't mind losing the warranty if the price on the hardware is right, did you find any place to buy the components and just accept responsibility for doing a self install w/out a warranty?

Yeah I don't remember the name of the site but I found the responder alarm for DEI for like 250. All the responders are the same whether it be matrix, viper, and sidewinder. But if you search the web for the one you want you should be able to find it.
