Question push button start...?

my ignition switch stoped working (it still primes the fuel pump and turns on the acc.) but it will not start the car. since the car is no longer a daily driver i thought it would be cool to wire in a push button start. has anybody done it? any advice on it?

thanks

I have considered the same thing....do a search on the Honda S2000 push start, you will find the parts you need as well as install diagrams.

Your key will still have to be in the ignition in order to disable the VATS system. If you want to go keyless, then you will need to get a chip with the VATS module disabled.

I've tried it in the past. I did the honda s2000 push button start. I got it all hooked up, started it up, put the dash back together, and it stopped working. I took it all apart again, redid the wiring, it worked, put it all back together and it stopped working and i couldn't get it to work again. I got too pissed off and put it back to normal. You can take out your cigarette lighter and put it in that place, it looks really good there too . I did a search and got picture directions for how to do it. If your interested, i'd be willing to sell you the push button start button too.

Than how would you stop it? Another button or a kill switch?

If you can't figure out a way around the VATS you can use a bypass module made by DEI that goes with their remote starts. It'll run you around 50 bucks at Circuit City or any other car audio shop.

well it was not the ignition that quit...it was the switch behind the clutch peddel that was broke in two pieces
