How much of a draw can you take from a stock LS1 alternator?

so quickly, and thats why we have caps.
Correct.

The plate designs of most batteries makes discharge rates slow. The Spiral core types are better, but they are not the same as a cap.

Regulated PS will help keep current draw down, BUT the amp still needs it supply of current. If I can't, It's ability to regulate is deminished.
