Default Cover kit did not fix wiper problem, now what?

This is on my dad's '97 V6 Firebird. The wipers don't park properly, they go to a vertical position and stay there when you switch them off. So, I did a search here and some other boards and the cover kit (containing the logic module for the wiper motor) supposedly is what is needed to fix it. Well, didn't work for me 3 hours, down the friggin drain. Any ideas? The rubber bushings on the motor mounts looked "ok", not great but not that bad either. Car has 115k miles. Thanks a bunch.

I'm going to try swapping in my '98 Formula multipurpose switch in place of his to see if that fixes it. According to the Helms, there are only two parts to fix this park problem, the cover kit, and the switch assembly.

Thanks for the help

I went through the 12 step diagnostic check for this problem and everything checked fine....all paths lead back to cover kit, which I've already replaced.
