Easiest place to find continuous 12V source?
Easiest place to find continuous 12V source? THE SEARCH BUTTON IS NOT WORKING!
Where is the most accessible 12V continous power source inside my 99 trans am. I need this source to hook up my wideband sensor and an LED. I would like to be able to do this without running a wire through the firewall from the battery if possible. I suppose I will need to fuse any source I find so I already bought a fuse with .5 A fuses.
Any help would be greatly appreciated and pics of where to find the wire would be greatly appreciated!

an easy one is the stereo. There are two yellow wires back there - one's a speaker lead, and the other is a switched 12v from IGN (actually, it's ACCY). That's what I'd recommend, assuming it doesn't draw a whole lot of power. If you're truly looking for something that's constant (not switched), there's an orange wire back there, which is the same circuit as the cigarette lighter.

Im not the best when it comes to electrical stuff. Whats a DOV? Also, whats the easiest way to get to the red wire?
What size fuse do I need to run?
Would it be better to just pull a line straight from the battery?

A DOV is a digital voltage meter so you know 100% it is the right wire. just remove the panel under the dash on the drivers side and there it is 10ga red wire if you fallow it it goes to the up to the steering wheel. As far as fuses I would do 5amp if it blows up it. Better safe than sorry.

), and poke a hole through the wire so you can now run the new wire into that line, and twist/tape it..it wont go anywhere...
