think my window motor went, hear this and tell me what you think
hey guys this morning on my way to work i went to roll my window down and it went about one inch, i as a little confused and tried to roll it back up, it did.
i did this about 3 times, up one inch, down one inch, etc. then it stopped altogether. now it wont do anything. the passenger side works fine as do the locks. i can also hear ticking in the dash, so i know that the switch is fine. it is probobly safe to assume my motor went bad, right? please let me know what you think i would like to replace it tonight if that is what the problem is.
Thanks
Louie

Maybe it went bad...
Take door panel off and inspect it.
Look for where it may be hanging up.
If the track looks ok, then its probably the motor.
Here are instructions on removing the door panel and replacing the motor:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...ighlight=motor
While you are there grease up the track and gears. Put some grease on the motor's gear before installing the motor.
Check out 2002OrangeConv's post in this thread,

That might be what is happening in your situation....or maybe not. Its hard to tell.
