* Power: Use a test light or multi-meter to make sure there is power at the 12V souce and Ground (Check at the terminals on the AMP).
* Stock Headunit: Since you are using the antenna signal as the remote-turn-on, did you install a switch in-line to lower the antenna? If so, make sure its not in the "OFF" position.
* Aftermarket Headunit: Use the remote-turn-on signal and not the antenna signal. Many aftermarket headunits lower the antenna when not using the tuner. Therefore you wont get a signal and the amp wont turn on.

What do you mean by "power wire"?
Does that mean that the amp will be on even when the radio is off or the amp will stay on when the car is off?

No, that is not the wire that i was talking about.
* Are you sure that wire has no power with the key is not in the ignition?
* That wire still has power when the radio is off. That means that the amp will still be on when the radio is off. I dont know if that matters, but its something to know.
* The wire I am talking about is a signal wire that comes from the radio and only has power when the radio is on. Its called the "remote-turn-on".

What model headunit are you working with?

I can't seem to find the manual for it on-line.

That would be my guess. Check it with a test-light or multi-meter.

Its the wire coming off the harness that came with the new headunit. Its the harness that plugs into the new headunit
