I'm sure if you do a search you'd have thousands of answers it all really depends on box type//amplifier and definately sound deadening.

My vote is what ever sub sounds good to you. Memphis make a very loud sub for the price. Kicker...JL Audio also come to mind. Youll get many opinions but the best will be your own.

it can be like comparing apples, to apples, to apples. we all have out favorite. with any thing you choose, there are going to be trade off's as to where the sub shines and where it lacks. if you can listen to as many as you can, that would be the best. there might be something that your ears like the best. and some advise,......look to some brands that aren't mainstream. there are lots of ones that put their money into r&d and a good product instead of advertising. lot's to consider when going after that sub.....don't spend $800 on a sub that can truely take 2kw all day, if you are only going to put 500 watts on it. a lower power handling sub will usually be more efficient.

it also depends on what size box you want to go with. If you want to waste all your back space you will have a harder hitting system than something of a smaller size like a stealth box...

Depending on budget, AND usage (daily driving, SPL competition, etc) Memphis M3 or Mojo, and many run JLAudio. Those are some that I commonly see, but are not necessarily the "right ones or "wrong ones" for your needs.

Here is a suggestion.....check out the various orgs such as DBDRAG, and MECA and see what those boyz are runnin' with and the numbers they are hitting. KEEP IN MIND these guys are competitors, and squeeze every bit of juice they can find and optimize their rides for maximum output. (enclosure design, sound deadening, etc.)

Also to be considered are the limitations of the hatch area......so if you want dual 12's it is tough using ONLY the existing well space. Suggest (2) 10's, however, you can go w/stealthbox or millhouse boxes also w/single sub.

Again, you have many, many options available to you depending on preference.

just watch out for the "bandwagon parrots" on those sites. one of the sites has about all moderators bias, loyal, and promoting one brand. if you follow the conversations, it will show. i've seen it on a few diff places, for other brands aswell. they follow new fad brands like a cult, with 90% of the one's saying there's nothing better haven't heard ever anything besides wallmart equip. keep in mind this is the internet, take everything said into consideration, but take it all with a grain of salt also.

Check out the Probox website. www.proboxrocks.com They make a custom ported box for 1 12", with plenty of air-space. From my experience, go with a Phoenix Gold sub and mono amp. That combo will give you all the bass you want and then some. Use 4-5 gauge power wire running to your amp, a capacitor makes hell of a difference also.

I personally like and have a 10" JL W7 in a custom fiberglass box taking up the entire passenger wheelwell (where the spare tire used to be, and it sounds GREAT. It also looks like it belongs there (except for the big honkin surround on it.) I am also pushing it with a JL 500/1 along with a 300/4 for my JL XR 6.5" speakers
