Default Another lighting issue...

I went with the clear turn signal covers in the front, as well.
To those who have done the same: What bulbs are you using in place of the 3157's that have the yellowish tint?
What all did you have to replace in order to make them work correctly? (IE: flasher units, connectors, etc)

I tend to burn up Xenon bulbs pretty quickly, and my connectors melt on me. I've already changed the thermal flashers to the Tridon EL12 flashers.

I may be missing the point here but why would you need to use different bulbs after changing the lenses?

With a orange lense the standard light is a plain old regular light buld... so it just glows "white" (which is more like yellow) just like a regular lightbulb in your house... When you get clear lenses you need to have the light light-up orange because the orange lense is not there anymore so that the turn signal will be orange... For example the parking lights in my Charger have clear lenses (stock) and the stock bulbs are orange so that they light up orange.

OK, so why wouldn't you use 3157NA (or 3157A if the 3157NA isn't available)? The original question seemed to be asking what bulbs to use instead of the tinted 3157.

I'm going for more of a white-ish look to my turn signals. Legal? Not sure. Do cops harp on anyone for it? Not yet.
I just went ahead and ordered a decent amount of LED's today... 3157's in white and red, as well as 194's in white and red. We'll see if that does the trick.

Maybe in Florida the police department enforces a law like this.
In this part of Illinois, however, the police don't really seem to care. At least not yet.

I won't even begin to debate how someone can think it's OK to do something illegal just because they don't expect to get caught.
