Exhaust Cutout Switch
I was wondering if anyone has, or attempted to use the traction control button as a switch for an exhuast cutout...my car didn't come with traction control but i was thinking of buying a traction control switch and bezel. would the traction control switch work for a cutout? I'd like to know before i spend $30 on the switch(freaking gm parts!!!) i'm trying to make my interior look as stock as possible.

You just need to figure out the wiring for the switch. As long as you can trigger a relay with it, which I am sure you can. It should work. You might need to supply it with power and ground. But you should be able to find the output pin/wire and trigger the relay with it. Good luck. If I had one here, I'd figure it out for you sorry.

Another alternative is placing the switch right inside the console (hidden from view).
There are several who have rigged a relay into that location. (marine switch comes to mind, and a post not made that long ago about this very topic)
U may want to review some of the posts.....or maybe the mods can remember where it may be located.

More people use the convertible top switch (those
without convertibles, that is).
Many threads on setups in the External Engine section
too, the wiring questions seem to be bundled with the
hardware by and large.
Any DPDT/CO momentary switch will do; you can find
ones that are smaller and more discreet-looking than
the OEM pieces. You'd never notice mine, nor me
working it.

As jimmyblue said, most use the convertible top switch rather than the TCS switch. Complete wiring instructions are posted in this thread along with photos of the switch.
