Recommend a remote start
lets hear it.
edit: also, how do they work, after it's started? How do you turn the vehicle off? No key needed anymore I guess?
I have also been considering a remote start to let her warm up in the winter
Once the car is started with the remote it will continue to run for whatever duration it is set to run unless the brake is pressed or the car is reved over a certian rpm. It will resume into normal mode(where you can drive it) once you stick the key into the ignition and turn it to the run position. If you start your car with your remote and decide you want to turn off your car, you can press the run position again to turn off the motor. If the key is in the ignition you can just simply turn the key back to the off position and it will stop the engine like normal.
You will need the key still to drive the car.
Note that this is not how ALL of them work but most of them work very similar.

I dont recommend them for beginners although its not too difficult. I would also ONLY install it on an A4/automatic tranny.
There are several alarms that have this capability and I know clifford is just one of them. If you would like to have remote start and not worry about your car running off I would check into these specific types instead of hoping you always leave the car in neutral.
