changing setups=15" s7 any good ?
i'm thinking about changing setups and am wondering if the s7s will be worth upgrading to.i currently have 2 rf power dvcs in a 5.5 cubic foot sealed box but i messed my box up in an accident.want a small sealed box type sub that will be easier to remove than previous box for when i race it.oh yeah,i have 800 watts rms going to each sub also.anyone ? t i a , mark

2002 ta,and yeah L7.it says 1.5 ft a sub minimum but if much bigger than that is required i will probably just get another 5-5.5 ft box built fot the dvcs.what size box do you guys think would be close to optimal for 2 L7s in a sealed box and is my amp about the right size ?
Kicker recommends anywhere from 1.5 to 6.0 cu ft.
Generally the bigger the box means you wont have to dump as much power to get it moving the same amount because of less resistance.
What are your goals?
6.0 would be more of a SQ application and 1.5 would be mainly for SPL.
Personally I would aim for a 3 cuft each with around 800w RMS.

I had 2 L7 solobarics in my camaro, in a subthump box
Few things
If you want SQ, don't get these subs, they hit hard enough to make the street rattle underneath em, but they aren't a very clean sounding sub.
If you want SQ go with something else, if you want to scare little kids as you drive by, go with the L7's
