Default LED mod for TA

Does anybody have the LED mod done in your 98-02 TA ?

I got a 99 and just finished installing the HVAC and headlight swiitch out of a 99 Camaro, the guages should be here Friday.

I am wanting to change all the interior lights to either blue, white or green.

How do you change te color of the switches on the doors?

Pics and and stories of the install all welcome
\thanks

Door switches don't have lights. If you are talking about the light in the trim peice there is a red lens in there that you can pull off and replace the bulb with a small led to get the color you want

I had to drill mine out. Just take your time and be careful. When it's broken up pieces will start falling out.

If you modify the LED you can make it just as bright almost.......

The Lenses diffuses most of the light, and with out it you run into the situation where you try to light a room through a hallway. Does this make sense?

We both know that your bulbs are not a comparison for the modules that he was looking at.

Friend you are not, and misleading you are.

You have made and sold cheap items on this board for a while now. An example of such are you 3mm door lights. All that was is an LED with bent contacts. A 3mm LED will NOT have a large mcd rating, which means it CAN NOT and WILL not have a higher rating than a 5mm LED. You sir are misleading people who do not know better. You are right when you are saying you are a "paying" sponsor on this site. I am not, AND I at NO POINT have advertised ANYTHING in this thread, BUT I am pointing out facts.

So you are claiming that your SINGLE 10mm LED is brighter than 12 - 26K mcd LED's? If you are, you are crazy! Do the math. Just ONE SIDE of the map light conversion that I have done on MY car puts out 312K mcd, which I might add NO manufacturer can create. Now you combine two side of the map lights and you have 624Kmcd.

I would also like to add for the clarification of ALL that I have not advertised on this board; however if others are interested in the work that I do PMing me is NOT against the rules. So prior to making assumptions please make educated decisions.

If I get into trouble for telling the truth then so be it, but it needs to be said.

Thank you and have a nice day.

Funny how you say I sell junk, I have had at most 2 complaints about anything I have sold on here and those were just because people thought that it was too difficult.

My products are so cheap that I use them in my car also, you're welcome to come by anytime you like and see for yourself. I back up 100% everything I sell, I use 100% everything I sell.

I really have no problem with you, but when you start bad mouthing myself and my products thats just BS. You have no right, not to mention last time I checked you haven't bought anything from me? I sent those door lights to you FOR FREE TO TEST THEM FOR ME. That was it, I guess thats what you get for being nice.

Lets try and keep this civil. Not going to lock this but lets not try and make any personal attacks.

WS6Extreme please tread lightly on your posts we dont allow non sponsor posts here and it appears you do sell products that pertain to LED gauges. Keep this thread factual or its over.

I understand where you are coming from; however I never said that you sell junk. What I did say was that the items that I have seen on the boards not to mention the "sample" you sent me was cheap. Thank you for being nice and if you would like your "sample" that you sent me that might be worth $1 in parts not to mention the cost of the stamp then I would be more than happy to return it seeing that it has spent its whole life in my desk because of its quality.

Fact: Your mcd level will never match multiple LED's
Fact/Opinion: The way you attempt to sell your product is misleading.

I have no problem with you personally; however when you try to make something out to be more that it really is I just find that to be wrong. I have no doupt that you are selling a quality product and it will do the job for most people, and I wish you the best of luck with your buisness.

Have A Nice Day.
