I think most people will suggest SOMETHING by Directed Electronics, they own Viper and a couple other big names

CompuStar, no doubt. I had an Avital (made by DEI) on this hawk and it worked fine for about a year, then it started remote starting my car randomly and burning precious gas. Alarm still worked fine. I ended up removing it and replaced it with a CompuStar. LOVE the new alarm. Way better range (1/2 mile) and a sweet looking remote.

Sure thing! 2W900FM-AS is the one I have. 2 way remotes, 1/2 mile range.

Another vote for the Viper 791xv.
Make sure your installer is up to par.

I have a prestige car start/alarm on one car and a compustar on the other. I hate the prestige system since it has a three button remote, one trunk, one for car start, and the final button does too many functions...alarm on, alarm off, door lock, door unlock. I've had to replace the button numerous times. As for the compustar, no complaints. Great range (half mile) and lots of "bells and whistles" at a great price.

My old Avital Alarm had 1/4 mile range. I could start my car in the parking lot 8 floors up in my building. CompuStar is WAY better though and for the same price. PLUS they make them for M6 tranny's too!
