Ipod to sterio?
Ipod to sterio? I have a Ipod and i want to get it to run off the raido i know of one way and that is to get a itrip and just run off of a raido frequency. But is there another way i gusee hard wireing into the stock monsoon setup?
I'm thinking the easiest way would possible be to use an FM Modulator. You can get them wireless or the ones you can wire into your car. I would recommend the hardwired one for better sound quality. Either way it will still have to be on a certain radio station. Im guessing though that the Itrip you are talking about is the exact same thing.
They make a PAC adapter that you could use which hardwires it to the AUX port of your headunit. It charges it while plugged in and turns it on and off with the ignition. Thats what I used.

I have what you need for sale. if you have a cd changer, then you need the PAC AAI adapter. it gives you two rca inputs, and a switch to change between the two. I have it for sale, $50 shipped, that's cheaper than you will find it anywhere else, and if you look at other post in this forum people have said that this connection sounds even better than cds, no messing with frequencies.

ya sure no problem killerta. it's brand new, I bought it for my firebird, but I didn't realize that this adapter needed the cd changer to work, so I have to get a different one. The part is actually on ebay right now, but I dont have any bids(and it's not looking good). you are wecome to bid on it, or I can stop the auction right now and sell it to ya, There are pics on the auction. Ya, but you have to order what is basically just like the gm9 aux unit(It plugs into the changer port, which runs to a small white box, that has a white ipod docking cable coming out of it). it's like $130 or somehting like that, i forget the name of it. type in "gm9 ipod" and you should come up with it in google. I was thinking of doing this, but I realized I would be using hte click wheel mroe often anyways.

The PIE GM9-AUX only converts the CD-Changer port to RCA AUX-IN.
It does not use the steering wheel buttons to control the iPod.
(I have a PIE GM9-AUX)
I think what you need is called an AUX-POD....but I'm not sure.

If you have a 98-02 Cassette Deck or a mid-99-02 CD player then it can control the stock CD-Changer and can work with the GM9-AUX. The pre-mid-99 CD headunit can't control the stock CD-Changer. If you have the 01-02 CD Headunit then it can control both the CD-Changer and the GM9-AUX (the earlier ones can control only one or the other, not both).

they have a tape that plugs right into the ipod and works really good, and u just use it as if u were playing a cassette.and u dont ever have to listen to that annoying static and its only 15$. heres the link ...and this is one of the more expensive ones.
