Headlights flickering

On my girl's 02 TA her headlights will go from bright to dim about 1-2 times a second, but only when her engine is running. The interior lights do the same thing, but it is not as noticable. What is going on, and is it a major problem?

mine only do that under start up sometimes... i think it has to do with the alternator not being warmed up.

mine do the exact same under start up its almost like its to the beat or the exhaust or something, i was meaning to start a tread about but never got around to it. would also like to know if there is a quick fix for it.

This happens anytime the engine is running, so its gotta be the alternator/power regulator.

same thing happens here.....the only thing about it that bothers me is people asking me why they do that all the time

From what they reported at ls2.com it is from the air system circulating and not enough current going through the wires. People who change the battery wires and or !air dont report this problem anymore.
