Default tach signal

trying to put a tach w/shift light in my 98 camaro,tapped into white #35 pin wire on pcm and cannot get any signal,tried cutting the wires and getting a better connection still a no go.


any ideas on what i should try?

stupid question but did u tap into the top pcm or the bottom . . ive done that before. .

ok so...we hooked it up to an old truck to see if the tach was just bad,it worked just fine.

so were tapping into the #35 white wire,but somehow not getting a signal.this is frusterating.

Sorry to hear that man, but I installed mine and forgot to clip those wires in the back of the tach, but then it worked fine.. mine is a 2001 Z28 I think is a different pin, I used the #10(white) of the top side of the PCM (white) but I heard in a 98 was a #35
