trans am key question i was looking at some replacment keys on ebay

he says that you need to know your keys vats resistance number? how do u get a hold of that

Measure the little chip on yrou key with an ohm meter. Put one probe on one side fo the chip, the other on the other side, it will tell you your vats resistance
