i just made it from a stock monsoon.

take all the **** you need off the monsoon for the plate, glue it all together with hot glue or epoxy, then use the radio/hvac bezel as a template to scribe around the plate so when you cut it out it fits in there real clean and tight, then dremel the back flat. badda bing...

when i first started it i didnt know if it was gonna work. but it was very easy and maybe took an hour tops. since the pics have been taken one of the adjustment ***** has fallen off and dissapeared. i think it only adds to the realism of a pos stock monsoon.

If you want the best security system (not alarm) on the market- i'd look into getting a clifford advantgaurd 5 only downside is: the labor to install usually cost a few bucks MORE than the alarm Top of the line though !!!!

Won't stop a tow truck..... but will stop everything else........ oh yeah theres a tilt sensor included also

when i had my s-10 i had gotten broken into on three seperate occasions, all in public places (restaraunts, movie theater, etc.) The alarm helps if there are people around your car, because who is not going to look when it goes off, and even if they dont say anything, unless the thiefs are total retards, they will think twice about continuing, I actually caught two of the guys in the act, and when I began to run at them, they jumped in their cars, and drove off. I personally will be buying an aftermarket alarm, as long as you've got something loud that'll draw attention, i dont see how it wouldnt help you out.. but thats just me...

Back to life thread! :-)

Just got back from one of the best Car A/V shops in my area and the owner is real big on Directed products. The brand names he was selling were Viper and CrimeStopper. He was telling me Viper was having allot of problems with the Pager systems... CrimeStoppers may be the way for me. Any one have a opinion on them vs Viper? Looks like its going to run my $500 to $700 ether way.

The Crime Stopper CS-2900DP-FM is looking really nice at $250 NIB! Looks very much like the Vipers new top model... but they warranty if YOU install and from what I hear are more reliable. and if you sell the car the new owner can transfer the warranty over to them.

just out of sheer curiousity, has anybody tried lojack? with the stock alarm and lojack as the tow away alarm, it seems that would be a fairly good setup, or am i wrong?

has anyone got any good or bad stories on lojack by any chance, that's kinda the direction i was thinking of going.
