Steering Controls Aftermarket Decks
Who knows/has been able to get their stock steering wheel controls to work with their aftermarket deck?
I remember the local shop told me about $80 bucks for a reciever/transmitter part.

I have the PAC SWI-PS for Pioneer/Sony and it just plugs in the back of my Pioneer Premier P580-MP

Hey jimmy, which one is for the Alpine Units? I have an Alpine unit now (IVA D300) and if there was something easier than the Swix, that'd be great. I'd then also have a spare Swix in hand...

cool...I have a kenwood deck for now and it would be great to get something like that done while I figure out what is wrong with my motor. Where can I find one???
Its a thing where if I have to spend more then $80 on it is going to kill my motor budget. I would just to like to take care of the motor but at the same time use the down time to get a project or two done that are basically under $100, like the berger panel I'm thinking of doing.

in order to use it on an alpine and other aftermarket decks, there needs to be a jack, that almost looks like mini plug (the end on ear phones for an ipod or similar)
I have the alpine 9855 and it is on there. Let me see if i can find some pics of the wired jack

ImnotPlutonium. . .I bought a RM-X114 remote on ebay this week and just got it in the mail (2 days!) for only 13+ change. . .
Still trying to program my PAC SWI-X and the step where you start programming the buttons. . .the 2nd (right) LED won't light when I press the steering wheel controls. . .stays out the whole time. . . I've seen it blink, so I know the led is good. . .
