Default Rockford RF4402s sound terrible need help

I installed a set of used RF4402 6.5 inch subs in my trans am. I've read that you could install them and they may not be as loud but they sound way better. Well mine just sound like there isn't enough power to push them. Anything that comes from them is very faint. Before I spend anymore money on these speakers I need advice. Otherwise the stockers are going back in. Anybody hook up an external amp to these and did it help?

the best advice anyone can give you on here is to **** can the whole monsoon system, if your going to replace one part then replace it all. Speakers usually sound like **** with the monsoon amp.
