Trunk mounted? Magazine loaded correctly (label side down) etc. Is it showing a code?

With the ignition off, try removing the magazine, re-insert it, let it cycle through the cds. See if it works then.

Try the ole unplug it and plug it back up trick. Mine has locked up and gave an error message before and that fixed it.

I tried unplugging it 3 times. It cycles through the cd magazine and then shows the track number on the screen but will not play. Then an error message comes up. I tried taking the magazine out several times and the cds are facing label down. It is trunk mounted. It played great for one minute and then went to gargle sound and then no sound. Then it displayed the error message. I don't know. I have tried emailing the guy I bought it from and I guess he is out of town. Guess I will have to buy another one.

I am also in the process of installing a factory cd changer in my 02 TA. I only threw in about 6 CD's (out of 12). Mixture of store bought and ones I burned myself. All worked fine. just plugged it in and it worked.

I bought mine off ebay from a guy that does electronics repairs. I paid $150 for mine BUT he gives you a six month warranty on it as well. All repairs and shipping at HIS expense if you have a problem. It was a little more than I wanted to spend but at least I got six months of warranty. I also read all his feedback as well before buying.

If you cant get the problem solved PM me and I will give you his ebay store.

I have talked to the guy I bought it from and he is willing to give me my money back if I can't get it to work. Maybe I can find one from someone on this site that is nice as the last guy I dealt with that has one for sale. I will let you know if I can't find anything. Thanks for all of you trying to help me today!!!!

It is not showing a code just err on the screen. The cd player acts like it is searching through the disc over and over again and then it stops but will not que up the first song.
