Default Turn signal not working...

I installed clear corners about 6 months ago. Well about a month ago, my turn signal started not working right. When I put the right one on, it just stays solid, it doesnt blink. On the outside of the car, the front signal marker does not light up. The back does. Now the right marker did get some water in it, like these clear corners are imfamous for. Could the bulb have blown out? Do I need to replace the whole thing, just the bulb, or could a fuse have just blown? Just wanna know before I spend 50 bucks on new clear corners. Thanks.

I had one of my turn signal bulbs actually shatter from water in it. Check the filament and see if its burnt out thats most likely your problem. Also check to make sure the connector didnt get corroded from the water being in the housing.

If the connector did get corroded am I just going to need to get new bulbs?

New bulbs would be a start. If the connector is corroded to the point where its preventing your bulb from making a good connection then you may have to get a new connector and splice it in. You could also try spraying contact cleaner in it. Hopefully its as simple as popping in a new bulb.

Would that explain the signal being solid/not blinking?

I hope its as simple as just a new bulb too...

Yes, the factory thermal flasher works much like a household thermostat - a bimetal strip inside bends and breaks contact when it heats up then cools and makes contact again. The heating is caused by the amount of current flow through the strip. When a bulb is burned out there isn't enough current to heat it up so the rest of the lights stay on solid.

Wow ok. Well I will try a new bulb then. Where can I buy just a bulb and if you have it, the part number?

The bulb is a 3157 (3157NA for Firebirds). You can get it at any auto parts store or even WalMart. Try to get the 3157LL (long life) version so you won't have to replace as often.

I had the same problem as well, but my housing had split and let water in and I had to replace the connector. Found one on the shelf at a parts store and it was very simple to replace. So if it's not the bulb don't worry too much.

Yeah I was just looking in the connector and it looked like it had yellow gunk in it. I just bought a new bulb so we will see if thats the only problem. How did you cahnge out the connector and do you have the part number?

No part number, just picked one up from the parts store. Your local store should be able to help you out. The pack had the diagram on the back, plus a Haynes(sp?) Manual helped. Simple cut and splice.
