Default push button start setups????

I am wanting to do a push button start on my car it's a 94 camaro lt1 car. I haave read a couple of the installs but i don;t really want to tap into my wiring harness....isn;t there a way to just run a power wire to the starter relay and install a switch to turn the relay on and off??? I know the key will still have to be in to disable the VATS system...but would something like this work??

thanks
Dustin

it's more work to tap into the wiring harness then it would be to just hook something up directly to the starter...looking for something simple and not time consuming

are you serious? there are 4 screws to drop the panel down, and the wiring harnes is right there. I think i wired my push button starter up in about 5 minutes, start to finish

you realize that you can get the starter wire right below the steering wheel

if you get one of those blue wire connector deals, that taps into the wire, you won't have to cut anything. in my 91 there was a wire that ran to the fuse box that was always hot, and the other to my starter.

When you wire it up like that guy, can you still start the car with the key too?
I ask because in one part he said that a wire coming from the ignition switch will no longer be used....
