My thoughts exactly! Plus I generally hate DRL's, so I killed two birds with one stone.
does the brake light stay on that way? right know i have the switch thats connected to the brake but that make the brake light stay on and i knew there was a wire you could remove just didnt know which one
Go to www.fullsizechevy.com, and check out the "Tech Article" forum. I believe someone posted a how-to on that subject.

1) pull the plate around your stereo off
2) remove stereo
3) locate little black box about the size of a pack of cigarette's mounted on firewall behind where the stereo would be.
4) Disconnect the smaller of the two plugs (It should be closest to the passenger side and blue). I then taped off the electrical connector to protect the plug on the wire itself.
5) Re-install everything
This will disable both your DRL's as well as the "Twilight Sentinel" (the auto headlights) feature. In addition, if the car is running, your power hatch release won't work until you turn it off.
