Default XM or Sirus radio?

This isn't for a gm vehicle, but I figured this was the most appropriate place to post it.

I'm gonna be getting my g/f either XM or Sirus radio for her 2002 Santa Fe. Which would be better? Any pros or cons for each one? I don't know nothing about these, so any info is appreciated! Thanks.

i have had both and sirius is 100 times better. XM plays the same like 5 songs over and over and over. Plus the comody is better on sirius. every thing is better.

I'll throw in a vote for Sirius. I've had it for a little over a year and the song variety is great. If I'm listening to a station I like, I won't hear the same song over and over, but I'll hear songs that I like constantly.

Just to throw a wrench into the works. I have XM in four out of the five vehicles I own, two factory installed and two after market installs. I think XM is much better than Sirius. Also have two POLK tuners one in the house and one in the garage, along with two playdocks one in the bedroom and one in the kitchen. I think the music and the programming is much better on XM. I am addicted to XM. Always remember BEYOND AM. BEYOND FM. XM. XM RULES!!!!!

I have xm right now as a trial in my 06 Trailblazer SS. I've also had sirius on the dish network and I like sirius much more than xm. When my xm trial runs out, I'm going to get a sirius adapter go with sirius.

In regards XM and Sirius I have had both. SQ is much better on XM and much fewer drop outs during driving. BEYOND AM. BEYOND FM. XM.

i have had both services. First sirius, then XM, and now back to sirius. I believe that sirius has the better content......and less looped playlists. HOWEVER, XM has the better network, and devices (for now atleast).

This is what i would do, go to each services website, and print out their channel line ups and compaer them to her tastes. (although simialar, some things will stick out)

btw, sirius has COSMO radio, and my girl friend loves that station. So that may be something she likes also

XM for a million reasons. I have had it for a while and have no problems with it. I listen to Sirius when I get a chance to but can't get into the content. Other than content preferance, I really don't know of a difference, but it seems that alot of people say that XM has a better service.
... and then there is that whole OnA thing.

XM x3 here(truck, Camaro, financee's Jeep). I have Sirius on my Dish at home but they play the same bands and songs over and over. I listened to it one night for about 3 hours and heard the same band played 5 times! On XM there's a lot more variety and more obscure songs you don't hear every played on Sirius when I've listened to it. I listen to the stations with 80's and 90's rock/metal and new rock/alternative music.
