ive tried FATMAT, and its garbage. Ive used it after I prepped the surface with rubbing alcohol and everything. Even used a heat gun and after a few weeks, the stuff started coming off the panels.
DYNAMAT EXTREME gets my vote, its tried and true, second skin has had good reviews from my friends.

Try reading all of this:

Ultimately the best way to quiet a car is in your head. Use your brain to understand what the noises are and how it's reaching your ears. What sounds are you trying to block and what do you want to hear?
Have you just considered using open element headphones?

Damn.... so it would cost about $300 to cover the entire entire of the car with Dynamat Extreme or Second skin. I wonder how effective its going to be quieting down my blown 383 with long tubes and !CATS?

Like I said before, you have to use your head. First identify the sources of noise. If you have real noisy tires, then a tire swap would be the best thing. Loud exhaust, then add double mufflers. Wind noise, adjust the window gaps or replace a seal. A squeeky suspension part, replace or lube it.
Almost every source of aggravating noise can be found and fixed, you just have to think logically.

dynamat extreme is way too expensive, i saw no advantage to it over the 100 dollars for 100ft^2 you can buy on ebay, not enough anyway, that was with 2 l7's and 2000 watts rms in an s-10, I am going to run second skin in the trans am, the guys over at caraudio.com love it
