Default wiring schematic?

Anyone have a wiring schematic for 2000 camaro fog lights?
Also what gauge wiring should I use going to the relay and coming off the relay out to the fog lights?

thanks!

I don't have a schematic, but I'd probably use 12 gauge

thanks for the schematic! I have one question though. Where should I splice in the brown wire going to the fog lamp relay? Should I splice it to the brown wire coming off of the head lamp switch inside and run it through the firewall to the relay? Also should there be a fuse on the brown wire? thanks again!!

You can splice into the brown wire wherever it's convenient to the relay. In general, brown is used for the parking light circuit throughout the car (however, not all brown wires are for the lights so test before using one). You could also use any ignition controlled power source if you want to be able to use the fog lights without the parking lights.

Another point, the light green wire from the relay is connected to the highbeam circuit from the factory. This is what makes the fog lights go out when you turn on the the highbeams. It is much easier to run the light green wire from the relay directly to ground. This will allow the fog lights to remain on even when the highbeams are used.

ok, thanks! So I shouldn't have to put a fuse inline with the brown wire?

Not for factory fog lights or equivalent. The whole circuit is protected by a 20A fuse anyway. Now, if you put higher power fog lights (or if you just want an extra safety margin) a fuse might be a good idea. Make sure it's less than 20A so that it will blow first if there's a problem and still leave the rest of your lights working.

I got it all wired up and working great!! The only thing that kinda worried me is that the brown wire that goes to the parking lamps that I tapped into was kinda small, like 16 or 18 gauge. I figured it would be atleast 14 gauge. Anyway, thanks for the info whitebird00!!
