I'd rather give up 5db and get better SQ. So what if my system tops out at 135db instead of 140+. I never listen to it above 110 or so anyway.
That dual 15" box from Kristen's car that was posted in the other thread is very nice. Even though the subs were litterally inches from your ears, the system was tuned so well, there was barely a hint of bass from the rear on certain songs. For the most part, it all sounded like it came from the front and blended in with the rest of the system quite well. It actually was one of my insperations for trying rear seat area subs.
