Default Stealth Boxes

Are the area that they go in different sizes on the earlier 4th gens, 94-97, different than the newest model ones? Or are they the same?

Can anyone post a picture of the back of a stealth box? I bought mine used from a guy that claimed he had it in his TA for a while. However, when we tried to put it in tonight, the raise from the fenderwell gets in the way- it won't go all the way in. It sticks out enough so that it bothers the t-tops going in.

Give us some details on it, is it a company made box or homemade?

I'm not completely sure- I bought it off a guy from ebay over a year ago. I got busy and stuff and never ended up putting it in until I tried last night with a friend. It's not subthump, but I don't remember if it's homemade or from a company. It looks good, but I don't know.

Here are some pictures of it-

The last picture is how it would look if installed from the back pretty much. The bottom left of the picture is where the fenderwell gives issues.

That looks home made. My JL audio stealth box fits perfect, but weighs a ton (>25lbs).

Not sure why it doesn't fit, but I'm guessing that the back of the box is interferring with the fitment.

Does the back of yours look similar? My fenderwell gets in the way of the back. I don't know if it's just my car of the guy lied to me when saying it fit in the back of his newer TA (it was 00-02 i don't remember)

This is one of my subthumps...

Looks like your back is bigger than mine. Mine is tapered in the back.

That is definetly a home made box...not that a home made one is bad but that one looks off in the back. Did you try to rotate it a little to see if you can get it in. Lift the back up and try to slide it in with the plastic removed. The depth looks a bit shallow as well. Not that the speaker doesn't fit but it would affect airspace volume. Looking at it from the back it looks like the bottom left corner is in the way. It should have more of an angle. This is from looking at other pics of homemade type boxes. I've owned a Vantage, MTX, and a Subthump enclosure and only had a little trouble with the subthump but it was also a passenger side box. The other two went right in no problem. You may be able to modify that enclosure to get a better fit. The front looks fine. Good luck!!

Hm, looks like I may have my friend attempt to cut and fix it. Don't think I have much other option. We took the plastic off and tired as much as we could to fit it in there but couldn't quite get it.
