Default Steering wheel controls for other functions?

Hey guys,

I got this idea yesterday... It seems possible but Im no electrician. The steering wheel controls function off resistance values correct? So couldnt some kind of aftermarket box be made that takes those values and converts them to a +12v trigger? and this could be used for anything really... Such as N20, Accessories, Rocket Launchers... etc

Does such a product exist? Anyone have any information about how difficult it would be to make?

I haven't looked into it in detail, but I can say for certain it would take minimal electronics know-how to do it. If someone has a schematic/wiring diagram of it in stock form, I (or one of the other electronics guys here) would be able to help you there.
