Just get everything out of a car with manual windows the holes for the rivets are already drilled in the door frame. It will cause trouble with the firebird stock doorpanels b/c of interference with the speaker pod. Just get the door panels out of the donor to save yourself time. FYI crank windows damm near never die until they are way up in age.

No. but I get frustrated and want to upgrade the electric motors.
I have a feeling though, it's not the motors but a crappy mechanical design.

I have had the urge to buy motors from the older thunderbirds/cougars (mid 90s) since those windows went up at like 90 mph and were just as large as our windows.

hmmm... makes me wish I had access to a salvage yard. Any GM mechanics or parts guys know of alternate motors that may be compatable?

Default windows

i have the same problem except one thing on mine is shitty. my drivers window needs to be adjusted towardthe back of the car about 1/2 inch or so. when it goes up its slow **** and then gets slower and finally just stops. then you have to wait and then start again and help it up. i need to know how to adjust the window and possibly how the hell to get it to go up without having to help it. another thing i want to adjust it back for is becuase i have about a 1/4 inch gap at the base of the window right by the outside seal. and it leaks like a ******
