im no expert, but i dont see why not,,unless there is something funky between those years with Airbags that i dont know about. Just remember if you have an aftermarket stereo,,it must have a remote control to be able to use the steering wheel controls...and there is a adaptor or something that you would need to hook up to the wiring on the wheel, to send the fuctions via remote to the stereo. Hope this helps.

No...that only works with aftermarket systems that have an IR remote control.

The factory steering wheel controls only use two wires - one provides power and the other goes to the head unit. The switches each introduce an assigned resistance that the head unit reads to determine which switch was pressed. I don't know if those two wires are present in the steering column unless the car came with the steering wheel controls. If they are then you should be able to just install the new wheel and it will work. If not, you will have to run the wires and probably change the slip ring as well.

if you get the wheel with controls, youd also need to get the airbag clock spring that has the connector for the controls. Basically it has 4 wires, those 4 wires being power and ground, signal back to the radio, and horn wire(its been a while since i had mine apart but i'm pretty sure thats it, i may be wrong though) the clock spring allows the wheel to turn and still keep all those wires connected. I myself had factory radio controls and i installed the PAC SWI-X previously mentioned, that goes under the dash and hooks up to power, ground, and the wire that would go back into the radio. The wheel controls all operate on ONE signal wire to the radio. each button sends a different voltage(or pulse maybe) to the radio and thats how it knows whats what.

Once again, he has a factory radio so he can't use the PAC SWI-X.

Oh, and just to avoid confusion, the slip ring I mentioned is what Smokingss is calling the clock spring - the actual name according to the parts manual is "inflatable restraint steering wheel coil".

The wire is dark blue in the white 10-pin connector. There are two dark blue wires in the connector - the one you want is in the fourth position from the edge and doesn't have wires on either side of it. The complete pinout listing is in the frequently asked questions sticky at the top of the forum.
