Default Anti theft lock feature

If swapping head units from vehicle to vehicle what has to be done with the lock feature.

What if you don't know the Lock code? and want to sell a unit?

Normally you don't have to do anything with it. The TheftLoc system comes deactivated from the factory and most owners never bother to set up a lock code to activate it. You can check by looking for a flashing red LED on the face of the radio when the ignition is off - if the LED doesn't flash then TheftLoc was never activated and you can swap head units without worrying.

If the TheftLoc is active and you've forgotten what code you used then there is a procedure that dealers use to unlock by calling a toll-free number and entering some codes. The procedure is posted someplace in this forum.

That procedure is outdated and won't work, try this one (the procedure is the same but the access code has changed).
