Just as an update, I ended up not using it in my own car. I gave it to a guy who relocated his controls a few inches lower. So I extended it only about five inches. I just have to remember to post the pics and finish this thread.

I wish there was just a way to make the ***** smaller, and fit all 3 controls in the corner under the radio, and use the other 2/3 for whatever you want
