Default Best set of component speakers... under 450?

I am looking into getting a set of component speakers. I want to get something that sounds amazing. I have owned a couple of the lower level diamonds, and they sound good. Thinking of getting a higher level like maybe the hex s600s, i wont be going as high as the d9's.. too much lol. I have heard good stuff about the rainbow line, and focal, as well as mbquart. What do you think would sound best in our cars? And I was thinking about making a custom fiberglass enclosure for them in the back seat area? would that be a waste because its behind the listeners? or is sound sound and you'll hear it anywhere? I am used to my little s-10, which sounded amazing with 2 sets of diamond comps and two reSX12's. I have the amp/sub combo set up for the lows, now id like to get the amp/comp setup for the mids and highs, and I am going more for SQ in this car, as opposed to SPL. Thanks in advance!

Boston Acoustics SL60 or Pro60 components. $350 from a dealer or $170 shippedon ebay for the SL or $260 on ebay for the pros/$600 from a dealer, use the extra money for an amp to power them

you dont think its stupid to put them in the back seat? granted, they will be facing forward, but they will be behind your head...

Get the Hex's. I spent a couple months comparing them against all the speakers listed and liked them better. Great speaker. Put them up front in the speaker pods, don't put them in back. Just make sure you make a baffle for the door instead of that flimsy piece of plastic. On a Camaro it is a bit more work.

Wish I had picks of the baffles. You may want to check out fbodyaudio.com. Someone on there used to make them. I basically just traced the flimsy plastic piece and fashioned a baffle made of wood.

Here is my install. All Diamond. lol

Check out the CDT I have for sale in the forsale section! They blew away my old Diamonds bar none. Also I was pretty impressed with Rainbow Audio. Im going to have to recommend Premier-Audio.com on this one, which is where I got my CDT from. Great people to deal with!
